# Sources, dates, licences and attribution

Interpret every answer with its source, date and scope. A source catalogue does not establish coverage for every parcel. [GET /v1/sources](../../operations/sources.md) is free without a place selector; supplying id, point or query bills it like resolution.

## Attribution and freshness

`source` identifies the publisher/data used. `as_of` is the source data date; null means unknown. Never replace it with response retrieval time. Preserve each layer's own date and source in combined answers. `source.fallback: true` marks a fallback. Planning prefers Rejestr Urbanistyczny (urban planning register), with Działkopedia's attributed POG sweep as a possible fallback.

V2 `licence` contains `position`, `attribution`, `terms_url` and `review_ref`. Retain the attribution in displayed and redistributed results. Null `terms_url` means no terms URL was recorded, not unrestricted rights. Own-computation approval does not replace approval for its inputs.

This table is generated from the licence matrix accepted by the operator on 2026-10-16. It records decisions, not a new legal opinion. `review_ref` identifies an approval decision, not source freshness. Read actual place availability/dates from the response. A new source needs individual approval before serving dependent answers.

## Source boundaries

EGiB (Ewidencja Gruntów i Budynków) identifies parcels/buildings without serving owners or KW. MPZP is the local plan, POG the plan ogólny, SOPO the landslide information system, GDOŚ the nature-protection authority, and GUNB the building-permit register. A listed source/layer schema does not imply every runtime query is connected; some layers return `not_computed`.

RCN aggregates concern the entire obręb, not parcel value. A physical road does not establish legal access. Point evidence is not a whole-parcel assessment. See [coverage](coverage.md) for the conditions supporting a limited negative answer.
